F I give to my daughter Elizabeth Newby twenty pounds in current money, one feather bed & furniture, one riding chair % harness, one tea table, six teaspoons & the choice of my horses to her & her heir for ever. t I give to my daughter Mary Bentel one feather bed & furniture six walnut chairs & one chest to her in her heirs for ever - (this clause ought to cou?? in before the other being left out by mistake) I alse give to my daughter Elizabeth Newby my Negro girl called Press & all her increase which she has now in possession to her & her heirs for ever & if she deceas'd befor me I leave all that I have given to her to be equally divided between her heirs to them & their air is for ever. I give to my daughter Polly Cotton my Negro girl call Treacy & her increase which Jesse Cotton has now in possession, one feather bed & furniture, one Basset? & two warnet Tables to her & her heirs for ever. I give to my granddaughter Peggie Bridger five shillings current money to her & her heirs for ever. I give to my grandson Alexander Whitehead to him & his heirs for ever. I give to my grandson Nathaniel Newby one saddle & bridle to him & his heirs for ever. I give to my granddaughter Sally Newby my hubiry? saddle & bridal to her & her heirs for ever. I leave by two Negro men Anthony & London to be hired out two years each of them after my decd & the money arising therefrom to be applied to the use of my daughter Elizabeth Newby, & then ?? my will desire they should be set free if the law will admit of it I leave my Negro girl call'd Joan to my daughter Elizabeth Newby Till she arrives to the age of eighteen years & then to be set free if the law will admit of it I leave to my daughter Patty Cotton my Negro girl call'd Pat Till she arrives to the age of eighteen years & then to be set free if the law will admit of it I give my Negro woman call'd Beck her freedom after my decd - if the law will not admit the above named negros to be set free Anthony London & Pat & Joan I leave them & their increase to be equally divided between my three daughters Mary Bentel Elizabeth Newby & Patty Cotton to them & their heirs for ever. To Wit Imprimis: I lend to my loving wife Polly Thorp (during her natural life or widowhood) the use of all my land & plantation whereon I now live, also the use of my part of the still left me by my father, also the use of my two negros to wit Mark & Joan, two Iron potts, half dozen pewter plates, six earthern plates two pewter dishes, three pewter basons, one frying pan each to her choice - one iron skillet, two water pails, three wash tubs to her choice, one spinning wheel to her choice, three pair of cotton cards to her choice, three feather beds & furniture, one sorel mare called the old Mare, one sorrel colt call'd Fagan, two calves & calves, Four ewes & lambs, call the hogs belonging to the gang living on the beaver pond by Charles basses, 50 pounds of corn cart & wheel, one loom. And after her death or marriage of said wife my will & desire is that what I have lent to my wife, except the land, to be sold to the highest bidder & the money rising from said sale to be equally divided between all my children hereafter named to wit Aaron, Elizabeth, Reese, Susannah, Moses, John, Polly, & the child my Wife is now pregnant with & after the death of marriage of my Wife my will & desire is is that the land I have lent my wife be rented out (for the Benefit of all my sons above named also the child unborn if it is a son) till my youngest son arrives to the age of twenty one years And then the said land to be sold & the money to be equally divided between all my above named & mentioned sons including the child unborn if is a son. Item, My will & desire is that the remainder of my state of what nature or kind soever found (including the land a bought of Charles Bass) And wheresoever found, Except my Legacy due me by John Reese's Will be sold to the best Bidder.
